Biosensu starts Fauna Monitoring Program.
The Patizal Farm, in Santa Branca (SP), stands out as a strategic area for the conservation of the Atlantic Forest. We have hired Biosensu for the implementation of a Fauna Monitoring Program. As an initial step, two diagnostic campaigns were carried out in July 2025 and January 2026, using methods such as birdwatching, camera traps and installation of sampling structures for other groups. The preliminary results indicate high diversity, with 187 species of registered birds and 10 species of medium and large mammals, including endangered species such as the brown jaguar and the maned wolf, in addition to endemics of the Atlantic Forest. Although the survey is still in the early stages, the data indicate great potential for new records and reinforce the importance of the continuity of studies. The area has a strong vocation to consolidate itself as a strategic environmental asset, with opportunities for conservation and generation of socio-environmental value.
