Beekeping

As time went on, with the area already within the family we started looking for cultures that can collaborate with the natural forest, the idea is to promote a sustainable and harmonious relationship between agriculture and the environment. We realized the natural forest offers an abundant and diverse source of nectar and pollen, essential for the health and productivity of bees. We jumped with two feet and started an apiary.

The large variety of wildflowers, trees, and plants in Mata Atlantica, ensures that our bees have access to a rich and diverse diet, resulting in healthy bees and high-quality honey that is a true reflection of the local flora. We created an apiary named Santa Anna, the nectar of Santa Anna honey is Silvestre, due to more than 80 species of Atlantic Forest flowers surrounding the apiary. Therefore, the coloring of our honey tends to vary seasonally according to its predominant honey flow at the time of extraction.

Our honey can go from a dark amber when a wide mixture of flowers are present, all the way to bright golden due to the predominance of Capixingui “Coton floribundus” and/or Assa-peixe “Vernonia polysphaera” flowers. We are currently selling Santa Anna in two options of glass jars with lids threaded aluminum, 400g or 250g. By purchasing a jar of honey from us you are not only experiencing one of the best treats of nature carefully produced by our bees, but you are also contributing to the preservation of many acres of Mata Atlantica. Our honey is certified by SISP (São Paulo State Inspection Service) and undergoes a rigorous inspection before and after being filled, reinforcing Santa Anna's commitment to excellence in the quality of our product. The beautiful bee that we created as a logo was registered by INPI (Instituto National Industrial Property) so that our honey remains unique only in flavor, but also in presentation. Our apiary is a testament to the harmony that can be achieved when human activity respects and works with the natural world. We invite you to experience the unique flavors of our forest-derived honey and join us in our mission to preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the forest for generations to come.
